The Rocketship Monument

Jack's been asking for a while to go in to the "Rocketship Monument." On a rainy but warm day in early January, we decided that Washington was sufficiently quiet to attempt a visit. Jack and Mommy went all the way to "the tippy top" and looked out "all the windows." (You really have to hear him tell it.)

We also decided to make the very long walk from the Washington Monument to the Lincoln Memorial. It took a while, and we stopped to visit the WWII Memorial on the way.

My favorite moment was when we finally got to the Lincoln Memorial, Jack looked up at the statue of Abraham Lincoln and said, "That's not the real one. That's just his angel, right?" Then he asked if we could use Abraham Lincoln's potties before walking back. Where does he come up with this stuff?
